In 2021, Rabbi Avremi and Rivky Raichik, along with their children, Chaya, Mendel and Leah opened the doors of the Chabad Jewish Center of Cape Ann. A home where everyone is welcome - regardless of affiliation, level of knowledge or observance.
Avremi was raised in Los Angeles, CA, and received his rabbinic education in Jerusalem and Brooklyn, NY. Avremi dedicated himself to Jewish community service in locations with no active rabbi or synagogue. His experience includes teaching and promoting Jewish activities in Ukraine, India, Nigeria, as well as many cities across the United States.
Rivky grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she was raised with a passion for Jewish education and outreach. After completing her teacher training at Beth Rivkah Seminary in Brooklyn, Rivky dedicated herself to Jewish community service in locations throughout the country.
We are founded on the principle that, while Jews may embrace many levels of observance in their personal lives, there should be a place for all Jews — no labels, no affiliations — to develop a sense of community and strengthen their Jewish identity.
